The Odd Blog
Sorry it's been a bit quiet on here recently and by quiet I mean deathly silent for well over a month.
To say things have been busy would be an understatement, but it's been the good kind of busy - the busy where you're getting good work done and moving things forward.
So, at least there's a positive in there somewhere.
Amongst a bunch of highs, we've also shed a fair few tears as we waved goodbye to the last of the Nicaraguan Mozonte. This cup of strawberries has brought smiles to the faces of people in all corners of the world, it's been on the bars of two Australian coffee shops, another belter of a shop over in Belfast and on mail order to the States.
Going international was a special moment, thank you to all the wonderful people who made it happen. Maybe next time we might even be able to hand deliver those beans to you..
All is not lost though, we are nearing the release of another special coffee from the neighbouring farm in Nicaragua. Keep your eyes peeled for La Esperanza, a experimental natural mystic processed coffee that is tasting like the old school fruit salad penny sweets you had as a kid. Luis Alberto Balladarez has out down himself once again!
Next week you will find us heading up to Ragley Hall in Warwickshire to sling shots at Bigfoot Festival, the thought of listening to live music once again has filled our excitement levels to overdrive.
By day we'll be serving up tasty tasty coffees alongside Wayland's Yard Brunch. By night you will either see us at the DEYA bar, grabbing a burger from OPM or bopping away to Maribou State.
Stay easy,
Sam & The Odd Kin Fam
