About this coffee

Burundi is among the smallest coffee-producing countries in East Africa and is home to approximately 800,000 families who cultivate an average of 150-200 Arabica coffee trees per farm.

Burundi is endowed with ideal conditions for coffee production and the Bourbon variety grown at high elevations here are characteristically sweet with nuanced acidity, floral and citrus. This coffee from Lot #2 of Ruvumu is no exception.

A complex, clean cup with notes of wild strawberries, a velvety soft mouthfeel and a tingly sweetness reminiscent of mint humbugs.

Our recommended 1:2 recipe:

18g in, a longer extraction of 34-37 secs.
