We get our coffee beans from here almost exclusively and they are always great quality. I really love that we have the option to bring reusable containers to transport the beans home too.

Popped in for some coffee for my espresso machine as my grinder had packed up. Great service and AMAZING tasting Indigo mountain Myanmar ground perfectly for espresso. Will be back for sure for my coffee beans in the future.

Fantastic tasting coffee beans. Have tried their Colombian Aguas Claras, as well as the Brazilian and their special Christmas blend. Great service, delivered quickly and at a good price.

Great little insight into both the coffee process and how to get the best out of the beans with a variety of filter methods, great independent roastery 👍

Amazing coffee and fantastic staff. Always had incredible service, love the little personal touch with every order!

About this coffee

A roasting mistake that resulted in blended brilliance!... Again!

We all make mistakes from time to time, in fact we embrace them here at OddKin.

Without mistakes, we can’t get better, and we love getting better!

Our wonderful Head Roaster Jess made her best ever mistake a couple of years ago, and this year she's apparently decided to celebrate this anniversary once more, by dropping a drum full of fruity, natural Chinese coffee beans into a cooling tray of sweet, washed Rwandan.

The result? A one off, never to be seen again batch of high quality, complex blendy blend.

It's giving notes of Raspberry, Citrus & Maple Syrup

Well done, Jess.

More about Jess' Accidental Blend:

Blended coffees are often perceived as inferior to single origins, associated with poor quality and mass production.

In reality, when it comes to speciality blends this couldn’t be further from the truth.

We really enjoy blending coffee beans at OddKin, so much so that we launched our Blend Friends Series, partnering with fellow UK roasters to experiment with flavour profiles and characteristics.

Coffee blends require complex chemistry skills and understanding to ensure the right extraction, and we’re lucky to have a brilliant team of roasters working hard to master this art.

Jess is our Head Roaster and a huge part of the team. Coffee obsessed with a serious eye for detail, she roasts hundreds of kilos for us a day with ease.

Since the moment she joined OddKin, we always knew she was a natural. Such a natural in fact, that she manages to create a batches of blended brilliance without meaning to.
